A survey of graphs and gain graphs and their geometrical interpretations and consequences. Topics will include (in decreasing order) graphic and gain-graphic matroids, graphic and gain-graphic hyperplane arrangements, hyperplanes from Pythagorean coordinates, and lattice-point counting. You may leave knowing more about matroids than when you came in, but not less, I hope.
