Three Complexes

Abstract for the Combinatorics and Geometry and Topology Seminars 2008 September 23

I will examine the enumerative properties of three simplicial complexes associated to matroids: the independence complex of a matroid, the broken circuit complex of a matroid, and the order complex of a geometric lattice.
